Pégame

Along with their dog Wicca, Ana and Vladi are starting their new life in the foothills of the Kumeyaay tribal land. As Ana learns she’s pregnant, and abortion not being legal, she turns more and more abusive towards Vladi and Wicca.

“Pégame” is a lucid dream based on the folktale of the scorpio and the frog. This dark fantasy feature film is inspired by real events, explores the subject of female violence and child abuse, and is meant to be watched on the big screen. It was shot on the ARRI Alexa 35, in advance stages of ankylosing spondylitis disability, entirely on Kumeyaay land, and among our indigenous community of crew and actors.
